Our accreditation program prepares change agents to use the Human Synergistics integrated suite of assessments and simulations to produce measurable improvements in individuals, groups, and organizations. This network of change agents supports us in our mission of Changing the World — One Organization at a Time®.

The OCI measures current culture in terms of behavioral norms — that is, what people believe is expected of them. The OCI-Ideal measures values — that is, behaviors that people believe should be expected of them to maximize effectiveness. Get an informative preview of the OCI-Ideal and the type of culture that you believe will enable your organization to achieve its goals. You’ll experience a subset of questions from the widely respected OCI-Ideal and receive an abbreviated feedback report (complimentary).

Make the OCI part of your drive for change

The OCI is used and facilitated exclusively by people who have been prepared and accredited in its administration and interpretation. We offer two options:

  • A qualified and experienced Human Synergistics consultant can help you to use the OCI and implement the cultural changes you seek. Simply contact us to get connected with a consultant who’s right for the organization.
  • The entire change process can be led internally in your organization by arranging OCI accreditation for one or more change team members. This will ensure they have the skills to administer the OCI and identify appropriate levers to achieve long-term culture change. To get started, register for an accreditation workshop.

A Human Synergistics consultant or your accredited team member(s) can also engage your organization and its members in defining and implementing a customized 90-day blueprint for success using our Culture Quick-Start Program. This program includes a thorough assessment of organizational culture and climate to support a facilitated planning session with a leadership team and/or change team.

Engaging in Bold, Inclusive Conversations®
Facilitator Certification Program

Today more than ever, leaders and employees alike must have the skills and competencies to engage in dialogue on historically polarizing and “off-limits” topics. Whether leaders like it or not, employees are talking about and thinking about the issues of the day impacting employees’ level of productivity, engagement, and psychological safety.

This highly interactive, skill-building learning experience will leverage the methods shared in the timely We Can’t Talk about That at Work! How to Talk about Race, Religion, Politics, and Other Polarizing Topics and Inclusive Conversations: Fostering Equity, Empathy, and Belonging across Differences by Mary-Frances Winters and provide facilitators with the content, tools, and competencies necessary to strengthen their organization’s capacity to engage in Bold, Inclusive Conversations®. This program is delivered as a public offering and private client engagement.

In May 1988, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) issued General Order 156 (GO 156). Under GO 156, the CPUC required all investor-owned electric, gas, water and telecommunication utility companies with gross annual revenues in excess of $25 million (as well as their regulated subsidiaries and affiliates) to develop and implement programs to increase the utilization of WMBEs. The Supplier Clearinghouse was created.

Procurement goals of 5% for women-owned businesses and 15% for minority-owned businesses were initially established. GO 156 was later expanded to include a goal of 1.5% for California-based service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. A goal for LGBT-owned firms has not been established yet.

The certification process was designed with eligible suppliers in mind, making it easy for participating utilities to find and utilize WMDVBEs/LGBTBEs.

Today, The Supplier Clearinghouse continues to be a Commission-supervised entity whose primary purpose is to audit and verify the status of WMDVBEs/LGBTBEs on behalf of the individual utility companies. We maintain an accurate and reliable database of WMDVBE/LGBTBE-certified firms that is accessible to the CPUC and participating utilities for procurement-related outreach and opportunities.
