This course reflects recent California legislation SB 1343 and SB 778, which revised the requirements for sexual harassment training. We cover supervisor specific responsibilities, the reporting process, relevant laws, and best practices.

TRAINING OBJECTIVE

However, this supervisor training goes beyond checking the legal box.
Instead of dwelling on what is illegal, this workshop will focus on what is respectful. Participants’ will concentrate on their responsibility for contributing to a respectful workplace.

  • Recognize behaviors that impede respect, including micro-inequities, discrimination, bullying, unconscious bias, and unlawful harassment
  • Define unlawful harassment and identify behavior that is disrespectful and or unlawful
  • Recognize the supervisor’s responsibilities to model respectful behaviors and what to do when they become aware of possible illegal conduct
  • Begin to create a common language across the company for engaging topics around diversity and inclusion to create a more inclusive and respectful culture for all Vitas employees.

This instructor-led training engages participants and will confirm their understanding of what’s legal and illegal, what’s respectful, and what is not.
