COMPLIANCE + CULTURE

This Is More Than a Certificate

Yes, California supervisors need to complete harassment-prevention training.

But checking the compliance box is not the same as building a workplace where people feel respected, included, and able to do their best work.

Respect in the Workplace Starts with Me™ covers the applicable California supervisor training content and focuses on the everyday moments that shape culture: what supervisors notice, what they address, and what their teams learn to tolerate.

NOTICE PATTERNS EARLIER

The Thousand Tiny Cuts Matter

Most harmful workplace patterns do not begin with one dramatic incident. They begin with the small things people are told to ignore: natural hair treated as “unprofessional,” a capable woman repeatedly labeled “aggressive,” an idea overlooked until someone else repeats it, a joke that “wasn’t meant that way,” or a supervisor who is unsure whether to step in. Over time, those moments shape whether people feel respected, safe, seen, and able to do their best work. The training uses practical scenarios—including Kayla, a composite learning case based on common workplace patterns—to help supervisors recognize those patterns earlier and respond with clarity, accountability, and care.
