I’m Bernadette Jones, and my journey into the heart of HR began in the bustling days of the early 2000’s. Back then, while navigating the complexities of hiring our first employees, I had an epiphany about the symbiotic relationship between workplace culture and compliance.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of consulting one-on-one with many leaders from diverse sectors. Through intensive study, certification, and first-hand experience, I’ve delved deep into the core of HR, unpacking its intricacies and emphasizing the vital importance of compliance and training. The very fabric of HR isn’t just about adhering to laws but understanding their intent, especially when it comes to preventing employee claims and disengagement. When armed with the right knowledge and perspective, I believe leaders can preemptively address potential issues, creating an environment of understanding and proactivity.

In 2016, my passion for fostering respect in the workplace crystallized into my signature training program: “Respect in the Workplace Starts With Me.” Conforming to California’s SB 1343 requirements, this initiative isn’t just about meeting statutory guidelines. It encapsulates my conviction, a principle I share in every session:
